5-TAMRA SE is a purified single isomer, amine-reactive orange-fluorescent dye for synthesis of orange-fluorescent biomolecules. This single isomer dye has been widely used in preparing fluorescent peptides, proteins, and enzymes and has extensive applications in immunochemistry. The activated SE ester is reactive with primary amines on peptides, proteins, modified nucleotides, biopolymers and other amine-containing biomolecules and yields a robust amide linkage. The absorbance spectrum of some 5-TAMRA conjugates may be dependent on the degree of labeling density and dye-dye interactions, but the fluorescence is insensitive to environment pH and is relatively photostable. Conjugates of 5-TAMRA are excited near 546 nm with fluorescence emission near 580 nm.
