DNP-X, SE is an amine-reactive probe that is used for the synthesis of DNP labeled biomolecules. The DNP hapten can be detected with fluorescent and non-fluorescent anti-DNP antibodies. The seven-atom spacer between the biomolecule and the DNP group increases the availability of the hapten for anti-DNP antibody binding. The activated succinimidyl ester is reactive with primary amines on peptides, proteins, modified nucleotides, biopolymers and other amine containing biomolecules. This reagent may also be used as a synthetic building block for the preparation of novel DNP labeled probes. .
