EverFluor FL Maleimide is a non-ionic, green-fluorescent thiol-reactive dye for synthesis of green-fluorescent biomolecules. The maleimide group is relatively selective for reaction with thiol groups on amino acids, peptides, proteins, and thiol-modified nucleotides when reacted at pH less than pH 7.5. EverFluor FL is optimally excited at 503 nm and is relatively environment and pH insensitive. The resulting EverFluor FL-labeled conjugates are brightly fluorescent in both aqueous and lipid environments. .
