Biotin-XX phalloidin is a non-fluorescent, biotinylated derivative of phalloidin. Phalloidin is a naturally occurring bicyclic peptide mycotoxin with a very high binding affinity for F-actin from many species including plant and animal sources. The long and flexible XX spacer group may enhance the binding of labeled avidin secondary detection probes for fluorescent or EM microscopy. Biotin-XX phalloidin is useful to visualize and quantify cytoskeletal proteins in fluorescence microscopy, EM microscopy and tyramide signal amplification techniques. The content in each vial (100 U) is sufficient to stain ~100 samples with 200 µL staining volume per sample. .
