Lucifer Yellow Cadaverine is an aliphatic amine analog of the polar tracer dye, Lucifer Yellow. Lucifer Yellow Cadaverine may be used as a polar tracer dye for long-term tracking of live cells. The primary amine may also be coupled to aldehydes and ketones to yield a reversible Schiff Base product that can be transformed to a stable amine derivative using a reducing agent like sodium borohydride or sodium cyanoborohydride. The primary amine may also be reacted with carboxylic acids of peptides, proteins, and biomolecules using a carbodiimide coupling agent like EDAC or DIPC. Lucifer Yellow Cadaverine is water soluble and is optimally excited near 425 nm with fluorescence emission near 531 nm. .
