EverFluor FL-C₅ NHS Ester is an activated, amine-reactive, green-fluorescent dye for synthesis of green-fluorescent biomolecules. EverFluor FL-C₅ is optimally excited at 504 nm, non-ionic, and is relatively insensitive to environmental and pH changes. The NHS activated ester (SE) is reactive with primary amines on peptides, proteins, modified nucleotides, biopolymers, and other amine-containing biomolecules. The five-atom spacer between the dye and it’s point of attachment may reduce interactions of the dye and the biomolecule to which it has reacted. The resulting EverFluor FL-C₅-labeled conjugates are brightly fluorescent in both aqueous and lipid environments. .
