EverFluor TMR C₅-maleimide is a non-ionic, orange-fluorescent thiol-reactive dye for synthesis of orange-fluorescent biomolecules. The maleimide group is relatively selective for reaction with thiol groups on amino acids, peptides, proteins, and thiol-modified nucleotides when reacted at pH less than pH 7.5. EverFluor TMR C₅-maleimide is optimally excited at 544 nm and is relatively environment and pH insensitive. The resulting EverFluor TMR-labeled conjugates are brightly fluorescent in both aqueous and lipid environments. .
