5(6)-TAMRA-X, SE is an amine-reactive form of orange-fluorescent TAMRA dye with an extended alkyl linker for labeling, proteins, peptides, modified oligonucleotides and other amine-containing biomolecules. This probe contains a seven-atom spacer between the reactive group and the fluorophore that helps to separate the fluorophore from the point of attachment on a biomolecule. This spacer may reduce interactions between the dye and the biomolecule and may also make the fluorophore more accessible to secondary detection reagents. Conjugates of 5(6)-TAMRA-X, SE are excited near 543 nm with fluorescence emission near 571 nm.
