EverFluor FL, STP Ester is a green-fluorescent dye for synthesis of green-fluorescent biomolecules. EverFluor FL, STP Ester is reactive with primary amines on peptides, proteins, modified nucleotides, biopolymers and other amine-containing biomolecules. The sulfonic acid on the reactive STP group contributes to enhanced water solubility when compared to NHS esters. The improved aqueous solubility of the STP ester may eliminate the need for organic solvent in some sensitive conjugation reactions. The STP ester is also more resistant to simple hydrolysis than corresponding NHS esters, and may lead to enhanced labeling efficiency. The EverFluor FL dye label is non-ionic, non-toxic, and relatively insensitive to changes in pH or environment. .
