6-ROX, SE is a purified, single isomer amine-reactive orange-fluorescent dye for the synthesis of orange-fluorescent biomolecules. The activated SE ester is reactive with primary amines on peptides, proteins, modified nucleotides, biopolymers and other amine-containing biomolecules. This single isomer dye has been widely used in preparing fluorescent nucleotides and oligonucleotides and is one of the classical fluorophores used in automated DNA sequencing. 6-ROX, SE is excited near 575 nm and has a fluorescence emission near 597 nm.
