Iodoacetamide alkyne is a non-fluorescent, heterobifunctional crosslinker for labeling biomolecules using click chemistry. The iodoacetamide group is reactive with thiol and amine containing biomolecules. The alkyne group is reactive with azides using copper catalyzed click chemistry and may be detected by using fluorescently labeled azide compounds. .
