EverFluor 530/550 IA is a non-ionic, orange-fluorescent thiol-reactive dye for synthesis of brightly fluorescent biomolecules. EverFluor 530/550 is optimally excited at 534 nm and is relatively insensitive to environmental and pH changes. The iodoacetamide group is relatively selective for reaction with thiol groups on amino acids, peptides, proteins, and thiol-modified nucleotides when reacted at pH less than pH 7.5. The resulting EverFluor 530/550-labeled conjugates are brightly fluorescent in both aqueous and lipid environments. .
