1-Pyrenesulfonic acid, sodium salt is a water soluble, fluorescent dye that is used as a sensor for alterations in the microenvironment polarity of macromolecules and is useful for investigations of binding mechanisms of macromolecules to ligands. 1-Pyrenesulfonic acid, sodium salt is excited near 346 nm with fluorescent emission near 376 nm.
