EverFluor FL C12 is a non-activated, green-fluorescent amine-reactive dye suitable for synthesis of green-fluorescent biomolecules or as a fatty-acid probe for cell-membrane experiments. This fatty-acid derivative may be reacted with amines using a carbodiimide like EDAC or DIPC or may be used to form ester-linked conjugates or acid-halide products. EverFluor FL dyes are relatively environment and pH insensitive and are brightly fluorescent in aqueous and lipid environments. .
